  • Be dependable and punctual. Arrive on time, or a few minutes early for each assignment.
  • If you are going to be absent or late, you must inform our staff ASAP prior to your start time. We have voicemail for overnight emergencies. No show/no call and excessive absenteeism or tardiness is grounds for termination.
  • Introduce yourself to the people in your department and let them know you are from Advanced Personnel Services.
  • Be flexible. Do your best to adjust to the routines of each assignment and establish a good working relationship with your co-workers.
  • Become informed. Ask questions on how the company would like you to handle basic office procedures, such as answering the telephone.
  • Show responsibility. When you complete your work, offer your services to co-workers.
  • Be discreet. Avoid discussing your work, personal issues or your pay rate with anyone.
  • Avoid making personal phone calls, or doing personal work while on an assignment. Leave our telephone number as an emergency contact number. We will be happy to pass along any messages that might be left for you. Use of cell phones in the workplace is unacceptable. Make sure the ringer is off and you can check it on your breaks.
  • Leave a good impression. When completing an assignment, take a few minutes to let your supervisor know the status of your completed work. Leave the desk neat and well-organized. Remember…not only are good skills important; professionalism, personality and appearance are too. The client will likely request you the next time a position is available.
